Extra salary fields

This article explains how to make more sophisticated salary calculations for employees with more salary fields.

SameSystem has two default salary fields for employees; monthly salary for one type of employees and hourly salary for another type of employees.

Hourly salary is straightforward to calculate, but monthly salary can be tad more complicated to get your head around - if you want to know how we handle it in SameSystem, please call your Customer Success Manager.

If these default salary fields are not sufficient for the salary calculations needed, it is possible to two types of extra salary fields; extra amounts, and extra percentage, as seen below.

How to set it up

To set up additional salary fields go to Menu - Administration - General Settings. From this page, scroll down to the following section.

From here it's possible to enable additional fields and even name them.

The extra salary percentage is currently only applied to the default salary field (monthly or hourly) and not any of the other extra salary fields.

The extra salary amounts currently only work employees that have monthly salary contract and not employees that have hourly salary contract.
