How to report a bug in the app

How to provide debug feedback in case of a bug.

First of all, thank you for reporting bugs! Identifying, reproducing, and documenting bugs is not always fun or easy, but it’s an important part of making superb software - so we really appreciate you taking the time to help us improve 🙌

For our development teams to solve the issue as quickly and efficiently as possible, we sometimes need extra data in order to properly investigate the issue. Please be as detailed as possible when reporting a bug - assume we don't know anything! Simply saying that something “doesn’t work” unfortunately isn’t very helpful; spell it out for us as clearly as possible.

Support may have the answer!

If you were to find something odd, or the app misbehaves, we always urge you to contact support first, since your experience may be due to your permissions or organization settings. It could also be that the bug has already been reported, so by reaching out to support you might even get an estimate of when the issue is expected fixed. Reach out to us via Contact support, under the More tab in the app.

How to report a bug

Start by pressing More in the bottom right corner, and press Report a bug.

Note: your screen might have different menu items due to your role and permissions.

You'll be presented with a screen where you'll have two options;

  1. Contact support - If you haven't talked with support, please do this first - you will not get a follow-up if you send a report without talking with support.

  2. Continue - If you have been instructed by support to provide feedback, select this one.

Here you'll get to the report itself. Please keep the following in mind;

  1. Try to be as descriptive as possible - If you already have detailed your issue with the support via chat, don't worry - we will use that as a reference.

  2. Screenshots - Sending us screenshot(s) and a recording is very valuable, highly recommended, and highly appreciated. Press the buttons as shown below to add screenshot(s) and/or recordings.

How to take a screenshot/recording

  1. Press the buttons highlighted at the bottom of the above screen.

  2. You will then get taken back to the app, with a button in the bottom right corner. Navigate to the screen you want to capture/record.

  3. Click the button to start recording the screen/take a picture. When you are done, it'll automatically be added to the report.

Note: the app may ask for microphone permissions when pressing screen recording. This is because you can enable the microphone and record your voice. This is disabled by default, and you do not need to allow it if you're not planning to record your voice.

You are done 🎉

After the pictures/recordings have been added, press the blue paper plane icon at the top right corner to send the bug report to us 📬 You have now sent your bug report and we are very thankful for it!

  • If you were instructed by support to send the bug report - they will keep you in the loop about the progress. You will get a notification from the app when they send you a message.

  • If you sent it without talking with support - we will investigate the report. You will not hear back from us.
