How to: Add Personal Documents

Learn how to upload personal documents that are not related to a specific contract.

There are two ways to handle uploading documents in SameSystem; either by uploading a document connected to a specific contract (within the Contract-tab), or by uploading documents that are not at all related to any contracts, completely free-standing (in the Document-tab). In this article, we'll learn how to upload free-standing documents, or Personal documents, as we like to call them.

How to add personal documents

1. Start by locating the user card you want to upload documents to and head over to the Document tab. Press Add document.

2. Here, you are presented with different document categories. These have been created by your administration, so they will vary from the ones you see in our example below. Click on the category that matches your document type.

3. Upload your documents from your computer and press Create when you are ready.

4. All done! You'll be redirected to the document tab in the user card, where you can see the document you just uploaded. The document(s) can now be accessed by the user the next time they log in.

If you encounter permission restrictions while uploading documents, ensure you have the necessary permissions or contact your administrator to upload the document on your behalf.

My file is in .jpg format, but I'm not able to select it when uploading?

We currently support PDF and .docx formats. Please change the format of your file, and try again.

The Create button is grey/not clickable

Make sure you have uploaded a file via the Upload file button.

I uploaded the wrong document!

Head over to the document tab in the user card, and click on the small arrow alongside the document. You'll be directed to a window where you should see a Delete document button.

As an administrator, I would like to upload a document that several users can read. Do I have to upload the document to each user card?

We recommend heading over to Front page - Documents in the main menu instead. Here you can upload documents and decide what titles can access them. Note that the users will find the documents here, not in their user cards.
