What are public holidays on department level?

Public holidays on department level are created per department and can therefore vary between departments.

They are typically used when there are regional differences between official public holidays and local or regional holidays.

How to open a public holiday on department level

Go to:

Settings > Schedule > Public holidays (department level)

Then follow these steps:

  1. Find the relevant public holiday

  2. Click Edit

  3. Tick the checkbox Department is open on the right-hand side

Once this is done, the red public holiday will disappear from the schedule, and you will be able to plan shifts on that day.

Important to know

This function requires permission for Public holidays. This permission is typically only assigned to:

  • Administrators

  • Regional managers

If you do not have this permission, please contact your administrator, head office, or payroll department for assistance.

⚠ NOTE: Since these public holidays are created per department, the setup may vary depending on your company structure and regional requirements.
