Learn about the options available when using the Add (+) button in your schedule.
The Add (+) button is available when you click on a shift in your schedule.
The purpose of this button is to collect all options for adding shifts and absences in one place, making it easier to manage and maintain your schedule.
Available options
When you click the Add (+) button, you will have the following four options:
➡ Add shift
➡ Add absence
➡ Add periodic absence
➡ Open for lend out
Below, you can read more about each option and how they work.
Add shift
If your department uses zones, you must select the zone the shift should cover. If zones are not used, the shift will be created as a standard shift.
You will now see that a new shift has been added with the selected zone (for example, "Work from home")
You can adjust the start time, end time, and break directly below the timeline, as shown in the example.
Click Confirm when you are ready 😃
Add absence
Here you can add absence types or periodic absence periods.
You will see a list of available absence options when clicking:
Add absence, or
Add periodic absence
💡 The types of absence selected and which absences can be used periodically are defined by your company.
Changes can be made to the settings for the relevant types of absence, but only with the approval of an administrator in your company. If you are an administrator and are in doubt, please contact SameSystem support.
Available for lend out
Here you have two options:
➡ Loan the employee to another department for a specific period
➡ Mark the employee as available for an entire day, allowing the receiving department to define the shift and working hours
To add availability for loan:
Click Add (+) → Available for loan
Click Confirm when you are ready, and remember to save your changes 😃
